You’ve got to admire Mercedes for persevering with the Smart, despite not exactly setting the car sales charts on fire. Even braver is their faith in producing an electric Smart when electric cars are just not selling. Still, their pockets are deep enough to play, so we’re to be treated to the third generation Smart EV with the arrival at Frankfurt next month of the 2012 Smart fortwo ED.
The VW Golf GTI Adidas at Worthersee
The Worthersee Tour is a big customisers event for Volkswagens held every year in May in Worthersee in Austria. It’s been a feature on the calendar since 1982 and was originally a meet up for owners of the original Golf GTI. Over the years it has become much more and we see all sorts of cars from the VW group such as the seven Audi A1 specials this year and the Audi Q5 Worthersee Concept last year.
Ferrari FF hitches a helicopter ride from the Italian Air Force
Ferrari are taking no chances on the Ferrari FF disappearing from view in the mass of launches and endless four wheeled objects of desire doing the rounds with the Geneva Motor Show still in full swing, so we’re getting lots of snippets of newsy stuff cropping up. Today’s little snippet of newsworthy publicity for the Ferrari FF is a bit of video of the FF being airlifted to the top of a mountain by helicopter. Why, you may ask?
